If the flue is clean, we say so. If the ducts don't need doing, we say that too.
Get a Free QuoteWe sweep and inspect chimneys, clean dryer vents and clean air ducts across Butte, Anaconda and Deer Lodge. That is the whole list. We are not a general contractor and we do not sell appliances, which means nothing we recommend is pointed at a second invoice.
The pricing rule is simple: you get a firm number before work starts, and that number is what appears on the invoice. If we open something up and find a genuine surprise, we stop and talk to you rather than continuing and adding it at the end.
Every inspection produces photographs and a short written summary. You keep both. They are useful at insurance renewal, useful if you sell, and useful for comparing against next year rather than relying on anyone's memory.
It is worth being direct about this, because you have probably run into it. Chimney and duct work is sold to people who cannot see the product. You cannot inspect your own flue, you have no way to verify what was removed, and the failure mode being sold against - a house fire - is frightening enough that fear does a lot of the selling. That combination attracts a certain kind of operator.
The tells are consistent. A price on the phone that is far below anyone else's. Before-and-after photographs that are not of your house. A recommended add-on that appears only after the technician is already in your basement. An annual duct cleaning schedule presented as manufacturer guidance when no manufacturer says any such thing.
Our answer to all of it is documentation. Photographs of your flue, taken on the day, handed to you whether or not you buy anything. A written finding you can take to someone else for a second opinion. And a firm price up front, so there is nothing to discover halfway through.
Send a photo and a question. We answer those for free, and we do it before you book anything.
